Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your Explore Kid consumer account from the app. This page explains how and what to expect.

Last Updated: October 3, 2026

1. Delete Your Explore Kid Account

Consumer account deletion is initiated in the Explore Kid mobile app. Sign in to the account you want to delete, open the Profile area, and use the “Delete account” option. You can read the in-app confirmation before submitting the request.

This public page is available without signing in. You do not need to install the app to read these instructions.

2. How to Delete Your Account in the App

  1. Sign in to the Explore Kid account you want to delete.
  2. Open the Profile tab.
  3. Select “Delete account.”
  4. Review the deletion information in the confirmation prompt.
  5. Choose “Delete account” in the prompt to confirm your request.

Signing out, uninstalling Explore Kid, or removing device permissions does not submit an account deletion request. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account.

3. If You Cannot Access the App

If you cannot access the in-app account deletion option, contact support@explorekidapp.com for assistance with an account deletion request.

We may need to verify your identity or account ownership before processing a request. Do not email your password, sign-in codes, or other authentication credentials.

4. What Account Deletion Does

Account deletion is intended to delete or de-identify your Explore Kid consumer account and associated account-linked information, as applicable. The specific information affected depends on your account and use of Explore Kid features.

Deletion is not necessarily immediate. Some account-linked information may be retained for the reasons described below, and information independently controlled by third parties is outside this account deletion process.

5. Information Associated With Your Account

As applicable, the deletion process is intended to address your authentication account, consumer profile, associated username reservation, Reviews, RSVPs, collaboration requests, Trip relationships or data, and account-linked telemetry identifiers.

For telemetry associated with the account, the process is intended to remove or anonymize the account identifier and stored precise latitude or longitude where applicable.

6. Information That May Be Retained

Some information may not disappear immediately or may need to be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, enforcement, backup or recovery processes, or because records have already been appropriately de-identified or aggregated.

Retention depends on the information and circumstances. We do not promise a fixed deletion completion time or a fixed retention period.

7. Trips and Shared Information

Trip handling depends on ownership and collaboration relationships. A Trip you own may be transferred to an existing collaborator or deleted, as applicable. Collaborative relationships or associated Trip data may be adjusted as part of deletion.

Information already shared with another user or appropriately de-identified or aggregated may not be treated the same way as information in your active account profile.

8. Calendar Events

Events that you chose to add to your device's own calendar are controlled by your device or calendar provider. Deleting your Explore Kid account does not necessarily remove calendar entries previously added to your personal calendar. You may need to remove those entries yourself.

9. Third-Party Services

Explore Kid may link to or interact with third-party services. Deleting your Explore Kid account does not necessarily delete information held independently by Google, Apple, calendar providers, Businesses, Event organizers, or other third parties. You may need to contact those providers or use their own account and privacy tools.

If you used Google or Apple to sign in, deleting your Explore Kid account addresses your Explore Kid account relationship and data through our deletion process. It does not delete your Google or Apple account. This page does not make a claim about authorization revocation by those providers.

10. Business Accounts and Listings

This page describes consumer account deletion. It does not establish an equivalent self-service deletion process for Business accounts or listings, or mean that deleting a Business user's login automatically removes public Business listing information.

Businesses needing help with a Business account, ownership, listing, or Business-related information should contact support@explorekidapp.com.

11. Privacy Policy and Terms

Our Privacy Policy explains information collection, use, retention, sharing, and privacy choices. The Terms of Use provide additional terms for using Explore Kid.
