1. About These Guidelines
Explore Kid is a family activity and local discovery platform and a product operated by Brevard Kid LLC, located in Florida, United States. These Guidelines apply to Reviews and other community content permitted through Explore Kid.
They supplement the Terms of Use. If there is a conflict, the Terms of Use and applicable law control as appropriate.
2. Our Community Principles
We welcome contributions that are useful, relevant, respectful, genuine, and based on experience. Helpful contributions can give parents and caregivers more context as they explore Businesses, Places, Events, activities, and other family-related information.
People and families can have different experiences. Our goal is a space where people can share those experiences without personal attacks or manipulation.
3. Genuine and Relevant Reviews
Reviews should reflect your genuine experience with the Place, Business, Event, or other applicable listing and relate to the listing being reviewed. Submit Reviews in good faith, use ratings and structured responses honestly, and focus on details relevant to your experience.
You do not have to provide documents to support every negative experience. A negative Review is allowed, and disagreement with a Business is not by itself a violation. Please avoid presenting something you know to be false or deliberately misleading as fact.
4. Respectful Participation
Address the experience or issue rather than attacking a person. Keep contributions relevant to the listing and suitable for a family discovery service. Criticism, including criticism of service, safety concerns, accessibility, or policies, is welcome when expressed in a way that follows these Guidelines.
5. Prohibited Content
Do not post, submit, or facilitate content that includes:
- Threats or credible threats of violence, harassment, or targeted abuse.
- Hateful or discriminatory attacks, or obscene or sexually explicit material inappropriate for Explore Kid.
- Exploitation or sexualization of minors, or other content that endangers children.
- Illegal activity, fraud, scams, impersonation, spam, malicious code, or malicious links.
- Coordinated rating or Review manipulation, or information you know to be false or deliberately misleading.
- Unauthorized advertising or solicitation through community features.
- Infringement of copyright, trademark, privacy, or other intellectual-property rights.
- Private or confidential personal information disclosed without authorization, doxxing, or attempts to obtain sensitive personal information from another user.
6. Protecting Children and Personal Information
Do not share sensitive or private information about a child or another person unless you have the right and authorization to disclose it. This includes information that could identify, locate, contact, or put someone at risk.
Examples include home addresses, private phone numbers or email addresses, school or classroom details when disclosure creates a privacy or safety concern, another person's medical information, identifying information about unrelated children, and other sensitive or confidential information. Ordinary, non-sensitive discussion of family experiences is welcome. Do not upload children's personal information.
7. Reviews and Conflicts of Interest
Do not manipulate ratings or Reviews. Do not submit fake positive or negative Reviews, coordinate Review activity, or misrepresent your relationship to a listing. If you have a material connection to a Business or organizer, do not present your contribution as an independent customer experience.
Do not retaliate against or harass a reviewer. Do not offer or accept an incentive conditioned on a particular positive or negative rating when doing so would be inappropriate or misleading.
8. Businesses and Review Integrity
Business owners, employees, contractors, competitors, and others with a material connection should not create or arrange fake Reviews or otherwise manipulate ratings. Businesses may disagree with a Review or report content they reasonably believe violates these Guidelines.
A negative Review will not be removed merely because a Business dislikes it. Reports are considered under the moderation approach below, in context.
9. Reporting Content
You may report a Review or other content that you reasonably believe violates these Guidelines. Please include a clear reason and use the reporting feature in good faith.
Reports help us identify concerns, but submitting a report does not guarantee that content will be removed or that a particular action will be taken.
10. Misuse of Reporting
Do not use reporting tools to silence legitimate criticism, harass another user, manipulate ratings, or repeatedly submit reports you know are baseless. Reporting should be used to raise genuine concerns, not to pressure someone to change a Review.
11. How Moderation Works
Brevard Kid LLC may review, restrict, remove, or otherwise moderate content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Guidelines or the Terms of Use; address safety concerns, fraud, or abuse; comply with law; protect users or the Service; respond to intellectual-property or privacy concerns; or maintain the integrity of community features.
Moderation may consider context. Content is not necessarily pre-screened, and we do not promise that every item will be manually reviewed or that every report will be addressed immediately. We are not required to remove content simply because someone disagrees with it.
12. Serious or Repeated Violations
Depending on severity, context, history, and applicable law, a serious or repeated violation may result in content removal, restriction of community features, account suspension, or account termination. We do not use a fixed strike count or automatic suspension threshold under these Guidelines.
13. Opinions, Experiences and Accuracy
Reviews often describe personal opinions and experiences, which can differ from one person or visit to another. A Review does not violate these Guidelines simply because another person had a different experience or disagrees with the opinion.
When appropriate, describe an opinion as your own experience. Do not knowingly present a deliberately false or misleading factual claim as true. Negative feedback and disagreement are allowed when they remain relevant and follow these Guidelines.
14. Family-Friendly Content
Explore Kid is designed around family discovery, so community content should be appropriate for that context. This does not prevent users from describing legitimate negative experiences, safety concerns, poor service, accessibility issues, or other criticism. Keep criticism relevant and do not use it to threaten, harass, expose private information, or target a person.
15. Accessibility, Sensory and Age Feedback
You may share experience-based feedback about age suitability, accessibility, sensory experience, restrooms or changing facilities, parking, organization, value, food experience, and similar Review categories.
These contributions describe individual experiences. They are not professional, medical, or universal assessments, and another person may have a different experience.
16. Intellectual Property and Privacy Concerns
If you have a concern involving privacy, intellectual property, impersonation, or another serious content issue, contact support@explorekidapp.com. Please provide enough information for us to understand the concern. We do not promise a particular response time or outcome.
17. User Content Ownership
You retain ownership of your original content. The Terms of Use describe the license needed for Brevard Kid LLC to host, display, moderate, and operate content through Explore Kid.
19. Changes to These Guidelines
Brevard Kid LLC may update these Guidelines as Explore Kid and its community evolve. We will update the “Last Updated” date when the Guidelines change and communicate material changes appropriately where required.
